Custom prompts let you guide the AI translator with specific instructions for your project.
When to Use Custom Prompts
- Brand terminology — Ensure product names stay consistent
- Tone of voice — Formal vs. casual language
- Industry jargon — Technical terms that need specific translations
- Context — Help the AI understand what the content is about
How to Add a Custom Prompt
- Open your project in the workspace
- Click the Settings icon (gear) in the toolbar
- Enter your instructions in the Custom Prompt field
- Click Retranslate to apply
Example Prompts
Brand consistency:
Keep "Aptura" untranslated. Translate "credits" as "Guthaben" in German.Formal tone:

Presets
Save frequently-used prompts as presets to reuse across projects. Click Save as Preset after entering your custom prompt.
